Chief Executive Officer |

Brad Marchant has served as BioteQ’s Chief Executive Officer since the company’s inception. Mr. Marchant is a specialist in mineral processing and biohydrometallurgy research, development and operations. He has thirty years of experience in plant operations, process consulting, business development and management, technology development and marketing, project management, research, and laboratory management, working in Canada, the US, Australia, and Central and South America. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of New Brunswick and an MASc degree in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Marchant’s previous experience includes work with Placer Dome, President and CEO of Coastech Research from 1985 to 1991, Executive Vice President of Triton Mining Corporation from 1991 to 1997, and President and CEO of Biomet Mining which later became BioteQ. |

President and Chief Operating Officer

David Kratochvil was appointed BioteQ’s President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2008. Previously, he served as BioteQ’s Vice President of Projects, responsible for overseeing the company’s engineering and development projects. Since joining the company in 2001 as Manager of Engineering, Dr. Kratochvil has been instrumental in the commercial development of the BioteQ’s process technologies, and has overseen plant design and operations. He holds a PhD from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, BioEngineering unit from McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Kratochvil has over 15 years of experience in the areas of wastewater treatment and chemical processing. Prior to joining BioteQ, he worked as the water treatment specialist for Rescan Environmental Services, one of the leading Canadian environmental consulting firms serving the mining industry worldwide. The highlights of David’s other work experience include research and development in papermaking and ion exchange industries in Montreal, process control in Toulouse, and phosphate fertilizer production in Turkey. |

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Paul Kim serves as BioteQ’s Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for overseeing BioteQ's financial management, accounting, and reporting activities. He has more than 10 years of experience in both public practice and in public companies, having held positions with Lohn Caulder Chartered Accountants, Norsat International Inc, and Xantrex Technology Inc. Prior to taking on the CFO role, Paul served as BioteQ’s controller. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. |

VP and Senior Consultant, Evaluations and Development |

Rick Lawrence has served as BioteQ’s Vice President since its inception, where he is responsible for research and technology development, and new business development. A mining engineer with thirty-five years of experience and a PhD in Biohydrometallurgy from the University of Wales, Dr. Lawrence is a recognized international authority in the fields of acid mine drainage, biohydrometallurgy, mining environmental management, and mine water treatment. His previous experience includes work as the Head of the Division of Extractive Metallurgy at BC Research from 1984 to 1986, principal and Vice-President Technical of Coastech Research Inc. from 1986 to 1991, private consulting services from 1991 to 1992, Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia from 1992 to 1997, Head of the Department of Mining at the University of British Columbia from 1996 to 1997, Regional Manager for Latin America with HA Simons from 1997 to 1999, and Executive Vice-President of Biomet Mining. Dr. Lawrence has consulted widely on biotechnological processes for the mining industry in North America, Mexico, and South America, and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia. |

Tanja McQueen is VP Corporate Development, responsible for communications, marketing, media relations, and investor relations. Prior to joining BioteQ in 2007, Tanja was the CEO of the Vancouver Economic Development Commission. She has 18 years of experience in marketing, communications, strategic planning, corporate administration, and community development. Tanja holds a BBA in Accounting and an MBA in marketing from York University in Toronto. |

Mike Bratty serves as BioteQ’s Manager of Engineering, and has been with the company since 2002. Before joining BioteQ, Mr. Bratty spent over ten years as a consulting engineer in the mining and mineral processing industries in environmental engineering and industrial wastewater treatment before completing his Masters in Biochemical Engineering at McGill in 2003. His experience is focused on the high density sludge process and on biological processes in mining. |

David holds degrees in Chemical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, and has 12 years of experience working around the world in process and project engineering roles in the energy and water treatment sectors. |

Ian McLean is BioteQ’s Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing all aspects of operation safety, operator training, and environmental management for BioteQ’s projects. Ian has 15 years of operations management experience, and has been involved in all aspects of BioteQ’s operations, including technology development, construction, plant commissioning, operations, operator training, and ISO certification. |

Oscar Lopez is the General Manager of BioteQ Water Chile, responsible for BioteQ’s business development activities and project management in Chile and South America. Oscar is a Chemical Engineer specializing in process development and project evaluation, with more than 20 years of experience in the chemical and metallurgical industry. Oscar is based in Santiago, Chile, and is fluent in Spanish and English. |

Songlin is BioteQ’s China Manager, responsible for overseeing BioteQ’s operations and development projects in China. Songlin holds degrees in Environmental Engineering from universities in Canada and China, and has over 18 years of experience in the environmental field. Songlin is based in Vancouver, with frequent travel to China. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English. |

Doreen Jeffery serves as Human Resources Manager and Office Manager. She is responsible for personnel management for the domestic and international company operations as well as ensuring the office runs smoothly. Doreen joined the BioteQ team in 2003 also working at that time with the CFO in accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and is a member of the BC Human Resource Association. Her business experience includes proprietorship of retail and service businesses. |
