BioteQ Environmental Technologies Inc. is an expanding company providing innovative design-build-own-operate solutions in the wastewater treatment to industry worldwide. BioteQ is looking for a Process Engineer to assist in the design, construction, and start-up of its water treatment plants. Candidates with work experience in design-build of chemical process plants are encouraged to apply. The Process Engineer will report to the Manager of Engineering and to individual Project Managers as required. This position is for a person seeking a meaningful role in the development of a series of new cutting edge technologies in a stimulating work environment with excellent upward mobility.
Typical duties of the Process Engineer includes preparation of mass and enthalpy balances, PFD’s and P&ID’s in addition to equipment sizing and specification, safety aspects of plant design, participation in Hazops, and equipment procurement. The Process Engineer will also be expected to assist with preparation of project plans, schedules, commissioning of plants, detailed engineering and fabrication of equipment.
Requirements
- Registered Professional Engineer (or eligible for registration in BC)
- 5 – 8 years experience
- Design and project experience in one or more of the following fields: chemical processing, wastewater treatment, and mineral/hydrometallurgical processing
- Strong background in process chemistry
- Experience in plant operation, project engineering, and detailed design including mechanical, piping, and electrical are assets
- Pro-active team player
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Willingness to travel (up to 4 week assignment) multiple times per year
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Valid passport
